Interstate Compact for probation?

Getting off Probation early?

  • I have been on probation for 2 years i have a five year sentence i have never had a violation also paid all fees on time... I started probation in missouri but i live in florida now... Before you ask i didnt just leave the state i went through the interstate compact process. What im asking is it likley? i dont want to waste time and money getting a lawyer since the dade county probation officers are more than unhelpful.

  • Answer:

you are on probation for three years of a five year sentence, and until that is completed, you are on probation if you have permission to leave the state and report to the probation officer where you are, when your probation is completed you will be informed

You can but you will need to go to court to have it dropped. This will mean you need to hire an attorney in your state. good luck

You would have to file a petition in the county you were convicted in. More than likely you would have to have an attorney, but you may try to call or write the court to see if you can do that yourself. You could also try to talk to your PO in Missouri (even though you transferred, you would still have a PO in Missouri that would monitor your transfer case). It would have to be in Missouri though. The Dade Co officers probably wouldn't be able to advise you about this since every state and jurisdiction are different.
