Problem faced at passport police enquiry. Please suggest what to do.?

• I applied for passport on Dec7th 2010 at vijayawada R P O. Police came for verification around 14th. At that time iam not at home.i went kakinada attend a function.i studied in kakinada.and my course completed 2years back.iam residing in chirala from completion and going to kakinada if any work is there.now this police came to my home and asked about me.my mom said to him that he will come in two days.this police send a report that he is not residing here.when i contacted police he tells me that i can't do nothing now.you'll get showcause notice after 3 months.website showing my file number wrong or not available like that. What i have to do now? Now a days every one search for their jobs for coaching etc. How can they present at home all the time? Don't know what to do now. Please suggest.

  First thing - Police never goes to houses for such purpose - or for address verification. This is the responsibility of Enforcement Directorate. You were not present-OK-but your family members should have told the officer that you are where. They are never so unreasonable. They know facts. I think there had been some misunderstanding between the officer and your family members. They could not convince him your where about. Now since the report has been submitted by the officer, nothing can be done now. You go to the Enforcement Directorate Office and talk to the same officer who had gone to your house for address verification. He can suggest you what to do. Generally they are helpful people.
