Advice on what to do to become a police officer? please help?

I want to become a police officer,, but i have a few questions! please help!?

  • i am still in high school, but i know that i want to become a police officer.. But im not sure if im the right type of person for the job.. Well i have good grades, im kinda short- but im fit. I really want to become a police officer because i want to make a difference, and help others! Is it hard to become a police officer? Is the training hard? What classes should i take in high school and college? Is it worth it? I live im Nevada by the way.

    Try to contact your local police department for their input. These guys wil no doubt lead you in the right direction. You cannot get too much education when in the police department, and many time promotions will depend on your education and knowledge. My son just retired after 36 years, as a LT. and also through his college training while in the department was able to teach some law enforcement at the local community college.
