We made a prank call? Can police trace it. Please Answer?

Usually, you avoid indictment, enter anger management, and get only one or two years probation and sixty days jail. Not to worry 2 much. J/K...nothing to worry about just tell the truth!!!

EVERY call you make is recorded in a computer.. it's kind of how the phone company is able to bill you. I don't know what laws you broke, but they'll know exactly where it came from.

chill, if they could trace calls that easily, then so many people would have been caught, i think to trace a call they need to do it as the call is being made. I mean so many phone calls about drug deals and such go on, if they could do it that easily then a lot of those dealers would be off teh streets. Anyways, there are so many phone calls made every minute that i doubt the phone company has that recording of the call, and without a recording, your ex-friend doesnt really have much on you.

This depends on your local laws. Where I live, it would not be a crime unless you repeated this call. If you did, it would be a harassment charge.

yes they can but the odd of them doing anything other then telling you not to contact her anymore are very slim stuff like this happens all the time and cops have bigger and more important matters to deal with

You'll be fine. When I was younger we did the same thing except we called people pretending to be trapped in a basement haha. Worst case, the childs parent will get hit with a slight fine and you guys get a slap on the wrist. That's what happened to us and I'm pretty sure we we're more threatening than you guys soooo.....
