How do I get rid of my hemorrhoid?

  • I'm a 21 yr old virgin male so no STDs here. I have a desk job and read online that may be the cause of getting a hemorrhoid. Working out, my diet, and constipation were a few other possibilities that caused it. It's only about the size of an almond I'd say. It doesn't hurt or itch that bad or at all. I can only notice it when I wipe. I don't want to get too graphic, but it's just inside the anus. I thinks it's external one since I can actually see it. Are there any ways I could actually get rid of it without having to go to the doctor? I read online soaking in tub baths and petroleum jelly are a few ways. Is there a way to rid this thing or am I stuck with it forever?

  • Answer:

One of my good friend from college gets them a lot. Hers are from going to the bathroom so frequently and pushing out too hard. But she uses any basic hemorrhoid cream,, such as Preparation H. It costs about eight dollars at any drug store, grocery store, ect. Just a little dab on the hemorrhoid until is dries out again and reapply. It will take a couple days in most cases.

eat more fiber. This means softer, easier to pass stools. Drink more water. You need water for fiber to work. The bowel is your water recycling center, by the way. A human bowel movement usually contains only about 150 ml (that's about half a Dixie cup) of water. The rest, and we're talking quarts, is reclaimed by your body, which is itself made two-thirds of water. Dry stools are an adaptation for land animals, especially birds and reptiles, that conserve water super efficiently. Although we are capable of forming a very solid stool, it is better for your butt if you don't. Eat less meat. Meat contains no fiber. Even lean meat has a lot of fat compared to grains, beans, vegetables and fruit, which are loaded with fiber. While herbal supplements are not to be considered a hemorrhoid cure, many sufferers find relief with an herbal hemorrhoid treatment. Herbal ingredients found to be beneficial include Japanese pagoda tree, horse chestnut, and butcher's broom. Soaking in a shallow bath can also soothe the pain and swelling. Medicated pads available commercially contain witch hazel, which is a natural astringent that can help alleviate pain and reduce swelling. Some people are sensitive to astringents and the analgesics contained in hemorrhoid cream, so caution should be exercised when using these products. Hemorrhoid cream contains active ingredients that go directly to the problem and provide soothing relief. For bleeding hemorrhoids, an especially mild hemorrhoid treatment cream may be used to bring immediate relief and not cause further harm to already damaged tissues. Apply to the surface of the hemorrhoid with a cotton ball, cotton swab or your fingertips. Surgical hemorrhoid treatment is performed in several different ways. For internal hemorrhoids, ligation is the treatment of choice. The hemorrhoid is bound with a rubber band, cutting off the blood supply. The hemorrhoid will eventually dry up and fall off. Ligation is usually performed in a doctor's office and requires no special preparation. Another option is injecting a hardening agent into the base of internal hemorrhoids to cut off circulation, which causes the hemorrhoid to shrivel up. A hemorrhoidectomy is a surgical procedure recommended for unusually large and bothersome internal hemorrhoids.
