What is it like to be a Speech and Language Pathologist?

Speech Language Pathologist?

  • I am a senior in high school and interested in becoming a speech language pathologist in Georgia- United States. Yet, none of my family has gone to college, and my counselors at school know NOTHING about what I need. I would like to know what types of degrees you will need to become a SLP, and what schools I could attend. (preferably in GA) I am so confused on what to do next. PLEASE HELP.

  • Answer:

In general, SLP programs are a Master's, so you need to have an undergrad then be accepted in to a grad program for SLP. Then I do know there is a year-long fellowship program after that. Good Luck!
