Best bed for bad sciatica?

Sciatica or really bad hip pain?

• Im 18 and visited my doctor about 3 weeks ago after i experienced a locking and severe pain in my knee and after the appointment i was told i had a slight grinding in both my hips and knees. About a week ago i experienced some pain in my hip i hadnt experienced before, so i just took some painkillers and went to bed as normal without giving it much thought. In the morning i woke up with severe pain in my left hip, again without thinking much of it i tried rolling onto my side and i couldnt. After breaking my collar bone, shattered one side of my rib cage, spraining both my ankles 3 times each it was the worst pain i have ever experienced. The pain was making me physically cry so i told my boyfriend i needed to get up out the bed. So he got out of bed to give me more room. I couldnt move from being on my back so my boyfriend had to get back in bed and lift my hips up so i was on my hands and knees so i could get out of bed that way. Every single time i either put weight on my left hip or took the weight off of it it was extremely painful and reducing me to tears. I managed to get out of bed after half an hour. But i still couldnt exchange weight on my hip, walking was impossible and even getting in the shower reduced me to tears. The pain was very very similar to a trapped nerve feeling running from actually in my hip down the outside and back of my thigh and round the top of my bottom. My grandad told me it sounded like Sciatica but there hasnt been any injury that would of made it come out. Hes had both of his hips replaced and has experienced it himself. Its happened twice now and becuase im on holiday there isnt a GP i can see. So im just wondering if this actually sounds like sciatica or its something else. Many thanks for any help.

  Not sciatica. If it bothers you thatmuch, see a doctor. You say 'hip' but it may not actually be your hip joint.
