Help! Lyme Disease??? urgent!?

  • I found out I have lyme disease on friday feb 11th... i started doxycycline the same day... i started seroquel the day before because i was having such terrible anxiety... but siince i found out its lyme disease thats been making me feel so ill & detached from my body im stopping the seroquel tonight... Will the mental feeling of being detached from myself & feeling unreal (depresonalization kind of feeling) go away when disease is gone??? ps. im started to feel different also, like stuck in between feelin real & unreal... could it be the antibiotics killing the disease??

It's probably the Seroquel but call your doctor before you quit taking it. Sometimes when you start an anti anxiety drug or an antidepressant you will have feelings like this but they do go away. As for the Lyme Disease, you are being treated for it so I wouldn't worry about it. Lyme Disease, when properly treated, is not a threat to you. Take your medication exactly as the doctor prescribed and call the doctor before you stop taking the Seroquel. This will tell you about the side effects of Seroquel. Remember though when looking at these they will list every side effect that has been reported to them.
