What can I do if my face is always getting flushed?

Flushed, nauseous, pain in lower back and side?

  • Hi, For about the past month or so I've been getting pain in my side and lower back that is gradually getting worse. Sometimes it's not there at all, sometimes it's very minor, and sometimes it's quite bad. When I first started getting it it was always very minor and never that bad, but now it's quite bad a lot of the time. Today I had to lay down and curl up for a few minutes because it was that bad. The other day I bent down to pick something and got the same pain in my lower back, more towards the right side. I was diagnosed with a UTI about 6 weeks ago, but was given antibiotics and I thought it had cleared up. I have the pain at the moment, but it's not too bad. What else could this pain be? I'm 15. For about the past three days I've been feeling nauseous occasionally. I don't feel sick all the time, it comes and goes. Also, since today I've been feeling hot and flushed, and my face is hot to the touch. I don't actually feel feverish, although I haven't had my temperature taken yet, so I don't know whether I actually have a fever. What could this be? Someone suggested a kidney infection, but I thought you were in agony and had a hugh fever with kidney infections? Thanks in advance, Hannah.

  • Answer:

It could be a number of things, but it could also be that your UTI didn't fully clear up. Because it can be so many things, your best bet is to go back to your doctor, preferably an gynecologist to also make sure you aren't having back pain because of your ovaries or uterus. I had similar problems and found out I actually had intersitital cysitis and not just a UTI, along with endomitrosis. Just get a check up to make sure everything is ok, you are not too young I was sixteen when I was diagnosed.

Kidney problems from diabetes. Avoid sugar. get tested.

The person who said kidney infection is probably right. And that's not a good thing to leave untreated. You should get your parents to take you to the doctor NOW.
