  • Answer:

You will be spending most of your time in front of a computer viewing images and dictating reports. It can be tedious or tough to keep your concentration day after day. You will probably also take calls from referring clinicians and doctors that walk into the reading room with questions. You will also be required to be on call if you are in a group or at hospital to answer questions from the ER. Salary is high $200K to $500K though you will also have expenses. Basically you study to get a medical degree. There is a huge need for radiologists. Getting there is the hard part and staying involved can be hard too. Many doctors choose radiology because they don't have to deal with patients that much.
