Am I taking too much Tylenol?

How long do i wait until i take Nyquil after taking tylenol extra strength ?

  • I have been taking Tylenol Extra strength since last night. the last time i took it about 5.30pm 10/24/10 ET. but i serious runny nose and sneezing. seems like tylenol is not working. So i just got a NyQuil Nighttime but on it its says not take it with anything tht contain Acetaminophen. So my question is How long do i wait until i take Nyquil after taking tylenol extra strength ? thanks in advance.

    The maximum daily allowance for acetaminophen is 4000mg per day. One Extra strength tylenol tablet is 500mg. NyQuil Cold/Flu Multisymptom Relief contains 325mg per caplet. Depending on how many tylenol you took throughout the day will determine when you can take the Nyquil. Tylenol should be taken every 4 to 6 hours as needed. If you took the tylenol at 530pm tonight you will be ok to take nyquil now (1117pm). As long as you are within the total daily limits of 4000mg/day you will be ok. Make sure you add up the total amount of tylenol tablets AND nyquil caplets to determine the total amount of tylenol .
