What can an ulcer cause you?

Can a ulcer cause severe pressure in the top part of the breastbone and severe back pain?

• I went to the er with abdominal pain and back pain and they told me it was an ulcer. It makes sence because i ate spicy food before with lemon. Ime only 15. They prescribed me a pain killer and pepcid which both dont seem to be working. At the er they only took blood test and urine test thats all. They went by symptoms i guess. Can an ulcer really cause real bad back pain and pressure not stinging in the abdominal. Its bad enough to keep me in bed, but not bad enough to go back to the er. Someone please give me advice

  Yes, ulcer usually is felt in the upper part of the stomach and same height in the back. Try OTC antacid like Prilosec (get the store brand, it is cheaper), it helps neutralize the stomach acids and helps with healing. Need to take it daily for weeks and when you feel better, cut down on dose. Eat alkaline food, google it up for list of alkaline foods and choose from it.
