What can I do as a first year nurse besides bedside nursing?
-
I have undergrad. degree in psychology and also will be soon getting my BSN (nursing) degree. I have hospital/bedside nursing experience from school clinicals but don't want to work in a hospital after I graduate. I would like anything but that. Will my other degree be helpful in getting a job outside of the hospital as a first year nurse? Any suggestions for me? Most of the clinics I see require four years bedside nursing. I've been considering public health. I'd love to work in a clinic. Any tips/input would be very helpful. Thanks!

Answer:
Hello, if you don't want to work in a hospitol, nursing homes are always looking for good nurses. Also in home health care or assisted living would be good options. Good luck
