Why do I have pain in my lower, right side?

  • I have a mild pain in my lower right side. Most of the time it doesn't hurt very much and is mainly barely noticeable. Occasionally it hurts a bit more but the pain only lasts a few minutes. I don't know if this is anything to do with it but my period is late by 3 weeks. Although the pain only started in the last few days. Any help?

Rule out Appendicitis. If it hurts when you jump up, if it hurts when you lay on your back, bend your right knee and rock that leg from side to side, if it hurts when you apply pressure to the area and suddenly let it go, then it would be reasonable to assume some kind of Appendix problem is present. If so see your doctor. Another sign is the pain might start at navel level and then move down to the right.
