Can i go out the day after my tonsillectomy? help!?

so i'm 15 and i'm just found out that i'm supposed to get a tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy this thursday (2 days) I am so so scared! i've had my wisdom teeth removed and i was wondering which is more painful? also i have been planning on going to a show/concert this friday (the day after my surgery) its not like a big venue. its a local band and they're playing at a bar. is there anyway i would be able to go to the show? one more thing, i've been dieting lately, what are some healthy foods to eat after the tonsillectomy? PLEASE HEEELPP!

hehe. well i got my tonsils removed when i was like 7 so it's been a while but i was in a TON of pain. I heard it's not as bad now. I think it'd be ok for u to go out, but since you will prob be on pain meds, make sure someone drives you and is with u the whole time. oh and pretty sure tonsillectomy is significantly more painful than wisdom teeth :) sorry oh and to eat... umm soft foods? i didn't eat a lot and lost a lot of weight but yeah lots of ice cream and liquids :)! goodluck

I believe getting your wisdom teeth pulled is definitely worse then getting your tonsils removed. You're not going to want to go out, though. You're going to want to rest. I don't really know of any diet foods you can eat.. maybe frozen yogurt?
