Why are my ears always watery?

Why are my ears canals always wet?

  • I've been dealing with this issue for years now. 25 years ago I had 2 sets of tubes put into my ears so they would drain properly, but now I'm wondering if I need to have it done again. I have to keep cotton swabs on me at all times, and I use them at least 2-3 times a day since there's always a wetness inside the ear canal. It's usually just my left ear, but once in a while my right one will do the same. I've had my fair share of ear infections growing up, even had Bell's Palsy in 2007 on the left side of my face that caused some pain in my ear, and in 2008 my top, left wisdom tooth infected my jaw and consequently my left ear for a few days, but I can't remember exactly when the wet ears started occurring regularly. It sometimes gets itchy in the ear canal, and I honestly do not think it's eczema like others have told me, but even after mentioning it to my doctor they just gave me some ineffective ear drops and sent me on my way. There is no flaking or dry skin anywhere around my ears, just a seemingly constant wetness inside the canal, and once in a while there may be a little pain behind my left ear. Is there anyone else having this problem?
