How to wake up in the morning?
-
I have a terrible time waking up early. I can get to sleep easily enough (Melatonin tablets help) but I can't wake up at a human hour. I wake up at my alarms- then snooze. And snooze. Until they turn off. Then wake up somewhere between 11 and 4. Luckily, my summer "Training" days have pretty much nothing to do, so I can wake up at whatever time I feel like. But I need to break this habit before school starts! It wasn't a problem when I was home schooled, but now I need to be on a us at 6:40 EVERY DAY. I have noticed I can get up easily if I have something to do. Okay, more of something I want to do, but most of the time I'm happy with anything I'm doing as long as its leaving the house. However, I can not just create things to do early in the morning- I'm 13, I don't drive, my mom won't take me anywhere that early, I don't watch anything on TV that would be on in the morning, I don't have anything I'm dying to do on the computer at 6 am, and none of my friends would be awake. I function best when I'm nocturnal! I don't do mornings. So, any tips? (also, if its "Go to bed earlier", don't answer. No matter how much I sleep, I'm still tired when I wake up. We might be going to a sleep doctor to look into it soon.)

Answer:
Well there's actually something called oversleeping that if you get TOO MUCH sleep, that can cause you to wake up feeling tired. Someone once told me that a test you could do was if you feel sleepy, but don't feel like you could fall asleep if you put your head down, then that's oversleeping whereas being tired and feeling you actually could fall asleep in an instant is not getting enough sleep. If that's the case, then definitely check out a sleep doctor. On a side note, do you get enough air while you sleep? There are people who don't get enough oxygen while they sleep (stuffy nose, allergies, etc.) and that really can affect how well you sleep.

Easy solution, drink coffee maybe one cup not too strong. You should be old enough to drink coffee. Or close to it. Rearch caff online. I have the same problem as you. I have trouble waking up the in the morning unless I have something I have to do. It motivates me more. It is tough. You are very young. You should be ok.
