Do you need a knee brace for Runners Knee?

  • My Doctor told me i have runners knee about 3 months ago and told me to do exercises for my knee and said it might help... but the pain is sill there although i have been doing my knee exercises and everything she told me to do so i was wondering what would a knee brace be used for in this case ? No stupid answers please I need to be able to run for the sport i play & it starts in 3 months(basketball)
