What do I do about anticoagulant shots that won't fit in the sharps container?
-
I am having to give my partner anticoagulents shots. The used syringes are too big to fit in the sharps container. I thought I could take them apart and just put the needles in the sharps container, but taking them apart was almost impossible. What do I do with the syringes?

Answer:
Long term, purchase a bigger sharps container. If you have anything large and stiff enough in the meantime that you aren't concerned with it poking through, store them all in a box and simply throw them out like that. It's not the best idea, but it's the safest temporary thing to do.
