Can I wear heels again? (ankle injury)?
-
I've suffered a number of ankle sprains that have subsequently left my right ankle weakened. I love the look heeled shoes, despite the fact that it was always painful for my feet [and my feet had a tendency to slide forward in the shoe]) but I'm concerned as to if my ankle can handle it. Is there any way to strengthen the joint so that I can safely wear them again? Also, if anyone has any suggestions of stretches or anything that would prevent or ease he foot pain when wearing heels or ways to prevent the sliding I would really appreciate it.

Answer:
nothing should be stopping you from wearing heels, as long as you don't wear any that are too high, and just be careful! to strengthen your ankle, try writing out the alphabet with your ankle, and other simple exercises with some ankle weights if you can
