What's the best and quickest way to heal my feet?

Ive hurt my knees. how can I heal them, whats the best way to train.?

  • I've never had problems with my knees before but...I had a long break from training, I did some leg squats, not excessive weight, for the next few weeks my knee joints really hurt, I rested until they where better and gave up the squatting idea!! a month or so later i went running (i did push it a bit and ive since realised i need better footwear) and again for the next week or two the joints hurt I rested them untill they were better. My problem is this Im going mountaineering in five months time and i need to be in good walking condition. I recently hiked for about 3 hours over varying terrain and although i had no major trouble i could definatly feel my knees when i was going down hill. Is my knee pain something i can overcome? or have i messed them up to the point where i shouldnt be going to the mountains, whats the best way to train for extened periods of walking? can my knee pain be overcome by training? thanks sorry about the spelling!!! I

The best thing would be swimming or biking. both are very physical activities that will keep you in shape and strenghen your whole body. the low impact training will greatly benefit your knees as well. make sure you stretch well also. I'd also pack a knee brace when you go to help keep your knee stable
