Help, my throat is swelling?

I scratched my throat, and now it's swelling up. Help please?

  • I was eatting Chinese Food, and ate a rib given to me to try. I swallowed it, and it scratched my throat, starting at an area right next to my uvula and going all the way down to about mid-throat (I can feel where it stops on the outside). I've sctrached my throat before, so I wasn't worryed about it and figured that it would go away in a few days. Well, sadly, I was wrong, and now the scratch is swelling up quite a bit. It's quite painful, and it's impossible to eat or drink anything without some form of pain. Even my own spit it painful to swallow. Does anyone know what I should do about it, or if it is serious or not?

    dont ask us!!!! GO TO THE DOCTOR ASAP SILLY!!! it ANYTHING impairs u from eating/drinking u must see the doctor

It is serious Infective problem in your throat. Larynx the inlet to respiratory tract is just in that area,if infection ,swelling extends up to it it will become emergency, You need to go to ER urgently to ENT Doc.for treatment.Go. Mean while start broadspectrum antibiotic,analgesic and warm gargles.
