How do you heal a jammed finger in a short period of time?
-
Today, on a sunday basketball practice, we ran a full-court scrimmage. In one play, after my teammate missed a shot, me and another teammate, who was playing for the other, team, both went up for a rebound. In that play, his hand accidentally smacked my middle finger. Then, while still up in the air, the basketball landed heavily on the tip of the same finger. It hurts when I try to clench a fist with my left hand. What's the best thing I can do to heal it quickly. Luckily, it's not my shooting hand, so I don't think it'll have to be 100%, but its a Conference game against a great school, so I'd hate to have to miss it. What can I do to try and heal it enough so I'll be able to play tomorrow?
