Why is my old scar swelling?

I cut my inner lip and kept poking at the scar. It swelled up. How do I reduce this swelling?

• I peeled the crust off my bottom lip and it began to bleed a tiny bit. So I poked at it with my tongue and the area swelled up into a bump. How do I reduce this swelling bump?

• Answer:

  This sounds weird but put some salt and butter on it , it makes it feel better afterwards. The sting during isnt that awful, but it hwlos. Or you could just dap some ice and aquafina chapstick onto it , then let it heal itself and stop biting youe chapped lips! Bad habit(: lol
