Do I have a sprained knee?

Help me please :( sprained knee. I nee help?

  • Ok. So. Like 2 months ago or one and a half months or whatever, I was in my softball championship game, I went to turn around to get the ball, but my knee didn't turn with my body, so my knee like twisted and popped like 3 times and I immediately fell straight To the ground. I went to the doctors nd they sai they think it might have been just a sprain. So I was on crutches for like a week and a knee mobilzer for 2. I started softball again like 3 or 4 weeks after again so I could finish the season. Ok so high School try outs are coming up in a couple months. I'm afraid of not making the team ad hurting myself again. But ok so now like if I turn a certain way, my knee like feels like it's about to pop and it hurts. Or if I accidentally extend my leg back it goes Really fast and hurts but doesn't do that with my other knee. Icant do drills like Kareokes or side steps. I need help :( how can I strengthen my knee back to it's normal power so I can play normal again?:(

    Did they do a MRI? Because that sounds like an ACL injury. I would advise if they haven't done an MRI to ask for one because even if you didn't rupture it it could be partially torn and with tweaking and exercise it could become a full rupture. If the MRI turns up with nothing then you can do stretches like, fully extending your leg as tight as possible and lifting you leg up. You should do 3 sets of 10 of those. Also do some resistance band stretching with it. DO NOT run on treadmills or do other high impact running as it will just cause it to hurt until it becomes fully healed and will impede the healing process. I dislocated my knee and with that i got a sprained LCL and bruised tibia. 2 weeks before that I sprained my ACL on the other knee. It took a year to fully come back to soccer and I won't be able to wrestle again. The physical therapy I only did for 2 months but i was doing workouts on my own to strengthen it for about 5 months. And just the other day I injured my right knee again and think I tore something in that knee so i know how you feel. Hope this helped somewhat! Keep me posted.
