How to know if your ingrown toenail is getting better?

After ingrown toenail surgery?

  • I'm getting an ingrown toenail removed soon. My appointment is 8:45 in the morning on a wednesday. I have exams coming up so i need to be at school on wednesday at some point as i have my GCSE subjects. I will be going to the clinic in my uniform and school shoes so the doctor will know i am planning on going to school. My last appointment he told me that i should go home and keep my foot elevated strait after. Will he try to stop me going to school or will he give me something to take to help the pain?

  • Answer:

You can't go back to school, the pain is stupid bad and it will bleed a lot. I had this done a couple year ago. He'll probably give you hydrocodone and tell you to keep it elevated. You'll want to do this, trust me.

No crutches after the surgery but it is better to rest your nail after than, But then you have your exams. What you need to do is to stay off from shoes and use sandals for the mean time after the surgery.
