My muscle feels tight?

Calf muscle aches, feels taught, as if it were to short?

  • For about the past week, with varying intensities of pain, the calf muscle in one leg has been sore and feels taught, almost like it's suddenly not long enough and being pulled to tight. Some days it's been just a dull ache that I don't really notice unless I try to flex the muscle, but other days just walking is hard because putting weight on it and moving my ankle feel like I'm going to tear the muscle in half. I suppose it could be a pulled muscle, but I haven't done anything outside of my normal routine, no exercise worth mentioning. Any thoughts on a cause, or how long I should expect this to continue if it is a pulled muscle?

  • Answer:

I used to get these all the time. They are sore constantly, and if you flex it wrong, the muscle feels like it is paralyzed and it sears with pain. These usually go away in a few days or a week or two. Just give it time. If it hurts after a couple of weeks with the same intensity, you may want to see a doctor.

I have the exact same thing! My dance teacher told me to stretch. Yes, it was verrry painful. But it has taken away some pain. Just a simple stretch, nothing fancy

Try a banana and milk. Stay hydrated. See a doctor if this doesn't within a day improve after trying this. See one anyway, coz I'm not a doctor! :D But I've had that happen and it was coz I was doing work or walking too much without being properly hydrated and not the right vitamins being put back into me.
