New scars. How long will they take to heal?

  • I got burned on monday from a facial wax and the the scabs started to peel off and now its all pink as to where i was burned. Its a second degree burn i think. How long will it take for it to heal? I'm positive there will be scaring. How long will it take to fade on average if the scar is about half an inch long? i'm currently using scarzone cream with spf 15 & moisturizer and fresh aloe gel *directly from the plant*. I heard new scars heal faster? how long will they take on average to fade? I have very fair light skin btw.

Ok, a Scar is the end result of an Injury. A Scar is not the injury itself. That being said, there's no way to tell if your Burn will become a Scar untill it heals and the Scar is left. The Scar might show up in a few weeks, possibly a few months. Sometimes it looks all healed, then the new skin peels away to reval the damaged skin underneath that produces the Scar. So to answer your question, it could take 3 weeks to a few months. No way to tell till it shows up.
