Right swollen foot and ankle with NO pain?

Sprained ankle but I think I've also hurt my foot?

  • Last Saturday, on the 21st, I rolled/sprained my right ankle to what I thought was quite badly too. I went pale from the amount of pain (bare in my I am used to rolling the left ankle numerous times in the past), and I've never sprained this ankle before. It completely swelled up all ontop of the foot, massively on the outer side of the ankle and on my leg. I went to the hospital shortly after, got an x-ray and they came back saying I'm very lucky it isn't broken, however they told me it was just a bad sprain. Over a week has past now and the past few days I've been having a very good recovery, it's still a little swollen around the ligaments in the ankle and ontop of the foot, but now i'm starting to walk (with some difficulty and a bit stupid, but none the less). But now that it is all starting to get a bit better to a good extent, the doctor told me after 3 weeks of recovering i'll be back to normal. However my main concern now is that it's quite a bit sore and bruised around the pulled areas, but i've noticed that on top of my foot it is also quite red and very sore also. Now I may be just worrying too much, but the area that's sore on top of my foot is a couple of inches in front of my actual ankle and i'm really worried i've broken/fracture one of those bones. So my real question is, have I broken or fracture that area too? Or are there ligaments running down those bones that i stretched a bit when I rolled my actual foot? Is it nothing to worry about and have I just injured that part like I have my ankle? Thank you!
