How do you treat a jammed finger?

i have volleyball tryouts later and while i was practicing a few minutes ago i jammed my thumb. how do i treat it. i just iced it and it feels a little better

Ice it and Ibuprofen to lower swelling. make sure you can it can move freely and that it doesn't have a fracture. goto rite aide and buy a brace so it stays straight by avoidig re-injury

ice it take some aspirn to lower the swelling and if it still hurts get a tumb brace to help strengthen it while you play good luck in your tryouts
Ice a sprain and keep it inactive for 7 days.Ice removes the swelling and also preventws the blood from flowing real good so just ice it 15 minutes on the hour... Put a curved metal splint around the finger if posible. It does take a while before the ache goes away but if the swelling goes down after 7 days you will be just fine....No more volley ball till then....
