Can you bruise your ear?

If a bruise appears on my child sunday, when could have that bruise occured? It was on her upper ear. She is 3?

• My daughter arrived home from her visit with her father at 3pm on Saturday. Sunday morning she awoke with a bruise the size of an earring on her upper ear. By monday morning the bruise had covered most of her ear. I wanted to know how long a bruise of that nature would te to appear on a 3 year old.

  It is impossible to determine when a bruise occurred since everyone bruises differently, the important thing is to take her to be examined since the bruise is on her ear and she could have a head injury. You could ask her father if she got hurt while in his care and explain the bruise and its location to him and perhaps you will get a time line on her injury.
