You shouldn't try to stretch anything that is tight, they will end up in bigger pains than you already have. You should free them up first and then you can do what ever you want with them and not end up in pain. Here's how to free up your upper leg muscles: While sitting and feet flat on the floor, wrap both hands around your leg about 3 inches behind your knee and squeeze tightly and hold. Now relax your body by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed. After 45 seconds slowly start moving your foot forward until it's almost fully extended, stopping where it feels comfortable, then release the pressure but continue holding your leg there for another 30 seconds. Then do the other leg the same way.

John, please try this to see if it helps release your hamstrings. Sit in a chair and place your hands either on your chest or your stomach. Now twist the body as far as it can go to the left. Note the endpoint of rotation of that movement then do the same to the right. You are going to find that one direction rotates further than the other. Start in the direction that went the furthest. Twist as hard as you can in that direction for 30 seconds and then relax for 15 seconds. Repeat this twice more and then do the same to the other direction 3 times. Now stretch your hamstrings to see how much they have improved. Here is another movement. Lie on the floor with your knees bent to 90 degrees. Starting with the loosest hamstring straighten out the leg. It is important to keep the knee straight. Now raise the leg above the hip while that knee is straight. Keep attempting to push the leg back over your head for 30 seconds. Rest for 15 seconds and then repeat that cycle twice more. Now do the injured leg the same way 3 times. Get up and stretch your legs. There should be more mobility present and less pain. Do these at least twice a day.

touching your toes makes you stretch your low back..& unfortunately in the wrong way;; so, no, no, no!!! & your achilles has nothing to do with a hamstring stretch...you should also be aware that the muscles need to be warmed up before you stretch...
