A tendon in my right foot hurts?

My right foot hurts sometimes when I walk.. I think I snapped a tendon?

  • So I went to kings dominion 2 days ago, and I think I snapped a tendon in my right foot. We were walking all day, and then suddenly I guess I stepped on it wrong, and I felt something snap in my foot. I can manage walking without it hurting, but if I'm not careful, it'll hurt when I take a step, especially on the stairs. I think it happened in the arch of my foot

  • Answer:

You seem to have hurt maybe your Achilles tendon. The pain climbing the stairs here is the giveaway. You should see a traumatologist or a sports doctor. Achilles problems come in 3 degrees and yours as you seem able to walk seems to be grade one (the lightest). However let them perform a series of reflexes and maybe they will apply a Jones bandage for 2 weeks. Also if the tendon is even partially torn you will need minor surgery because if you let it heal by itself it will surely heal (incorrectly) and you will develop a slight limp for life.

Definitely get an x-ray and see a doctor. Don't suffer any permanent damage - just in case. And if you have insurance, hey, what can it hurt?
