Does Arthroscopic knee surgery always work?
-
I have had Arthroscopic knee surgery four months ago, my knee pain is worse than before, going down the leg and foot, has anyone had experience with this surgery?

Answer:
Arthroscopic knee surgery just means you had knee surgery done arthroscopically which is a technique involving smaller incisions and an arthroscope (camera) which projects an image onto the tv. It doesn't tell us what you had done in your knee which would determine its success rate. Did you do physical therapy? What does your surgeon say about your increased pain?

I had a double arthroscopy about 8 years ago. I have lost cartilage on the inside of both knees due to my weight training and lifting weights. I also had two big babies. I am still suffering with pain and loss of flexibility, so no the op never worked for me. I had basically the same as you although it was my cartilage that was flapping around and it was scrapped off. Sometimes I wish I had never had the op, being in pain daily is no fun.
