What should I expect after my ACL surgery?

Playing golf with a torn ACL?

  • I have a complete tear of my acl but I'm reasonable stable. I cycle and have skied with a brace. Nervous about golf what might I expect? Considering surgery as well.

The same thing happened to my mother. She was at work with a torn ACL and ended up tearing more ligaments and her meniscus was screwed up. She had to get surgery on her knee. That was a year ago and she still has a slight limp. I suggest you be careful. -the sooner you get the surgery the better. It would be the wise thing to do.

golf can aggravate the injury because of the rotation your body has while swinging. I would have surgery if feasible and let the injury heal before more damage is done.
