What is better for lower back pain chiropractic therapy or physical therapy?

After being rear ended and having neck pain, physical therapy or meds isnt helping, whats the best thing to do?

  • Over two months ago i was rear ended by someone going 45mph,they hit me so hard it broke my seat and pushed my legs into the dash and bruised them.It gave me a bad headache instantly and i had pain in my neck. The pain isnt so severe i cant function, its much like i slept on it the wrong way.It has lasted everyday since the wreck happened. My car was totaled and the person that hit me addmitted it was all their fault,so their insurance co paid for my car, gave me blue book value.Because my neck pain didnt go away,i contacted a lawyer, who has had me going to physical therapy several times a wk,which has not made a bit of difference at all.I feel like im wasting my time, especially time at work im missing by goin.I cant take any of the meds, they make me sick and sleepy,so i just take advil.Ive explained this to my lawyer, who says i should just keep going.and also said he is giving all his cases to another lawyer very soon.My question is...can i just settle up with the insurance co for my pain and suffering and medical costs and be done with this now even tho ive went to a lawyer now?

  • Answer:

Fix it. http://jamesb.hubpages.com/hub/Speed-healing-of-trauma-injuries-through-self-directed-regeneration Do not settle because it's will not heal on it's own...ever...so you have to pick between learning the process at that link or suffering for ever. Keep doing everything they say so the paper work trail is complete and then settle after you have fix it your self. The meds hinder/stop the healing process avoid them.

Oh dear. This is very distressing for you. Go an Osteopath - they are good with this type of injury. Purchase and take a good quality fish oil capsules. Look at the small print EPA, and take 1,200 mg in divided doses thru out the day, before food. This should help with inflammation. Also vitamin C. Take 1 gram four time a day - this should help with tissue repair. best wishes /FP Clinical Nutritionist
