How painful is scoliosis surgery and what's the aftermath of it?

Will this feeling fade away ?(Scoliosis surgery question)10 POINTS?

  • Okay i had scoliosis surgery june 22nd so ive been in recovery for about a month and a couple of days . During the past appointments my doctor has told me its okay for me exercise, swim, walk and lift weights(only 1-20lb) . Today i was exercising like i do on a regular basis for more flexibility and i decided to workout with my 10lb dumbbell(its the lightest one i have) for the first time since surgery. While i curling with my dumbbell i could feel the rods in my back . I thought it was normal until after i stopped curling at 10 and my rods started throbbing and stinging . its been an day after this and i can feel the rods in my back when i reach for something, my back has gotten really stiff again like it was the first weeks i got back home ,my back might slightly sting a little at times, and it seems like i muscle spasms sometimes too . Whats wrong? My doc told me i could lift . Do y'all think this will just go away after awhile ? I'm scared out of my mind . I told my mom and called the my doctors office that worked on me. They both tell me that I might of just used some muscles that I haven't used in awhile but i don't know whats the case.
