You can expect the ribs to take between 4 and 6 weeks to fully heal. The rest of you can heal a lot faster if you visit a chiropractor.

ask your doctor

The ribs should take 4-6 weeks to heal, you will experience some pain in the injury area for up to 6 months or so after. This is the soft tissue damage takes longer to heal as it is superficial damage. Until 6 weeks is up take it easy and don't stress the area too much.

Ribs are tricky. Once i fell on my side harder than i had wanted to do while playing goalie for my rec soccer team, broke two ribs, and it took 2 months for the pain to stop. But another time i fell down the stairs onto a metal chair and broke 4 ribs and the pain stopped in a couple of weeks...wtf? Anyway, ice is extremely helpful. If it lets up dont be shy about light exercise to get the blood pumping, but only if you think you can do it. Good luck:) Sorry I couldnt be more helpful.
