How do you get rid of a canker sore and quick?!?

  • I woke up to a canker sore two mornings ago, and it's not great. -_- I really want it to go away because it's kinda hard to eat without having to bite it. Plus it burns. Any suggestions on how to get rid of it? I had this once before, and my dentist gave me this gel to put on it. It sticked onto the canker sore, and it went away. What is it called and where can I buy it?

    i get this gel stuff at cvs. its called Orajel Ultra Mouth Sore Medicine. it numbs the area..for the first few seconds you put it on, it burns but then it goes numb for a few hours, you can put it on a few times a day. it makes canker sores go away really fast, trust me. that stuff helps so much.

you can buy the spice called Alum. it will numb it up for you, however you dont want to get it on your tongue.

there are mouthwashes that will numb the pain of the canker sore and also help it heal faster. also try gargling with warm salt water-- its gross but does the trick
