How to treat an Ingrown Toenail?

  • They say to put cotton inbetween the nail and the skin, problem is I cut my nail so short because the first days I had the pain from the nail I though cutting it all as deep as I could would help but it backfired and now it is starting to get infected, this is the first day it is infected. I tried to put cotton but like I said, the corner is so small and short I can't put anything between it. What can I do?

  • Answer:

Use this procedure to treat the infected part, clean it thoroughly with hydrogen peroxide volume 10 using a clean soft cotton. Clean it until the solution boils on the wound then secure one capsule of amoxycillin 500mg and open the capsule at it's end. Pour the powdery contents on the wound making sure that it covers all the surface. This will penetrate the wound treating the infection and will totally heal it. To keep the wound as clean as possible, wrap the toe with gauze bandage and plaster.
