What to do with the rib pain?

What could be causing this back/rib pain that I've been having for 3 years?

  • Hi, I am 20. For the past 3 years I've been having dull aching pain. The pain starts at my right shoulder blade and ends at my right ribcage. I get this pain when I sit up straight; the more I sit up straight the more pain I have. I slouch all the time because of it.. I also get this pain when I have to bend down on the floor (to pick stuff up off the floor for instance) Also, if I stretch and push on my back/ribs it temporarily relieves the pain. But only for a minute or 2.... This is really bothering me. I know I do have a slight humpback on my right side (from constantly cracking that area I believe), as well as a slightly curved spine (I only recently noticed it in the mirror..) It curves to the right. Could my curved spine be causing this pain? Or something else? Thanks
