How to identify an ear piercing infection?

Infection from ear piercing?? need help?

  • So about a month ago i got my ears pierced at claires by a gun and got some studs in. three weeks later i noticed my right ear lope bigger then the other one. SO i took the piercing and put some peroxide stuff on they give you to use. Up to this point i really never cleaned the piercings just left them. The next day i went to the doctor and they gave me antibotics to use. a week later nothing has changed. I put the piercing back in a few days ago now i just took it out. it was bleeding?? and it feels like a little ball in my ear. I then took out my left piercing for the first time and same thing!! was bleeding and smelt bad with a ball thing in my ear?? did i have an infection? should i go to the doctor.?? I took both piercing out and put peroxide on. I sleep on them at night could that have any thing to do with it.

    It is an infection....I think? Same thing is happened to me.....my friend got me really cheap earings and know my right ear hurt so bad. Just don't buy cheap earings. And you do not need to go to doctors. Get a cotton swab and dip it in rubbing alcohol and place it on your ear. And that should clean it.

i got his feeling as well from the earrings at Clarie's like you have a lump in the lobe of your ear ??? but i think that this is normal as my friends had it as weel and my ears did bleed a little when i first took the piercings out but did stop soon enough. the lump in my ear has since gone and i was informed that this was the ear healing around the hole to make it permanent. Following this i did not have the smelling bad stage so i could not comment on this. i would to make sure go to the doctors just in case but i do not believe the bleeding or lump has to do with the infection hope this helps
