Home remedies for poison Ivy?

Are there any home remedies for a cat that has poison ivy?

• I was outside my boyfriends house by the entry automat.ic gate and broke back some bark of a tree that would brush against u as u pass thru.i started developing the itchy rash and later found out from him that the tree is a poison ivy tree/vines and my cats both since then have been nonstop scratching(indoor only cats) and i know for a fact that i was petting and playing with them when i entered the house immediately after btraking the branh back. I have it and gave it to them. :-( any home remedies for this does anybody know anything on the topic?

• Answer:

  Poison Ivy spreads by an oil which contacts the skin. Wash the pussycat a couple times to remove the oil. It should be fine after a couple days.
