How to heal cut on corner of lip?

Cut on lip,and inside mouth both lips are swollen.how long will it take to heal?

• I got into a fight and while i was talking the person hit me in my mouth...and immediately after my top lip had a small cut and was bleeding and swollen...mins later inside my mouth on my bottom lip was cut and now swollen,i applied ice,drink salt water,and put neosporin on it and its still swollen after 9 hours...i was worried that it was turning into a cold sore..how long should it take for it to heal?

  There's no way to tell for sure how long it will take to heal, but you're doing all the right things! It won't turn into a cold sore, because a cold sore is caused by a virus, not injury. Just keep up the treatment regularly, and you may add Tylenol or Advil to help bring down the inflammation and to help if there's pain. You shouldn't need to see your doc unless you see signs of infection (greatly increased pain and swelling, drainage from cuts, warmth, red streaks around the area). Good luck!
