Is it a spider bite? What kind of spider?

So about a month ago I noticed a bump on my right hip. This bump hasn't ever gone away.. before now it's gotten big but no pus or anything came out of it. Then it went away. Now just a week ago this bump started getting bigger. And it started to get so big it was breaking the top layer of my skin so last night i decided to squeeze it to maybe relieve some of the pressure and pain. I don't want to get all gross about what came out but I think it's important to say since I dont know what this could be. When I squeezed it thick puss literally squirted out a good foot and half away. It was thick and blood. I squeezed again and a lot of blood came out. I let it be until about 15 minutes ago I tried to squeeze it a little because it had gotten a black spot in the middle. This time no puss came out, but a lot of blood squirted out. Its a dark color bump a brown color and i'm very fair skinned and it still has the black dot in the middle. So, is it a spider that bit me & if so what kind of spider. By the way, I haven't been running a fever or had vomiting like most spider bites make you feel.

Answer:
Common spider bites usually heal in a couple or few days. even a bite from a widow or recluse would be well on its way to healed.(you'd have known this) Spider bites don't get puss in them, but skin infections do,which is likely what this is. Squeezing is obviously making the injury worse, and this will only prolong the healing. A hot towel treatment will help this drain, and a topical antibiotic is a good idea for broken skin. Usually these infections heal nicely, but if this becomes severe, you should have it examined by a doctor. I might also point out that most spider bites do not cause fever or nausea. The exception being bites from medically significant spiders,or allergies to bites and stings.

So first off, it's hard to tell if it's a spider bite from not really seeing it. And secondly, do you live among spiders? Does it itches? I would suggest you google pictures of these different spider bites and see which best suits your description if you are really convinced its a spider bite, but I don't think it is. I think it might be an abscess. Abscesses needs to be incised and drained so that the pus can come out. It should be packed to allow it to be properly drained. You can put warm compress on it which will make it softer and easier to pop if you want to do it without medical help. If it's a spider bite, don't worry. Just wash it thoroughly with water. Here are a list of spiders you might want to google. Hope this helps and feel better! Black widow spider Brown recluse spider Chronic arachnidism or necrotic arachnidism Jumping Spiders Wolf Spiders Tarantulas Northwestern brown spider or the hobo spider Daddy longlegs spiders
