How do you heal a wound?

How to heal a wound faster?

  • So I have an EXTREMELY shallow cut on my ARM, about one inch wide, and 3 Inches long. Problem: its extremely painful because it runs into the reverse of the elbow. Every time I bend my ARM at the elbow, pain. Can I heal this wound faster without special priducts? What is better: air or no air, neosporen, etc? I'm not worried about infection, and please don't tell me to 'suck it up'. I'm left handed and this is extremely painful, and will take at least another 5 days to heal without any help.

  • Answer:

    Fire and duct tape

I used to have a topical steroid cream that healed my minor wounds MUCH faster. These creams are prescription only nowadays and about exposing it: I'd use whatever anti-infectant cream or lotion or anything you choose to use and covor it with a gauze pad. That will keep it moist and hopefully keep some pain away. It's important to let it "dry out" because after many scrapes, infections, large rashes (gravel), etc. letting it dry out allows it to heal faster than it being in a wet zone all the time. Switch back and fourth between the two, and go with whatever feels better. Usually what feels better is what your brain knows is better.
