What is good for flea bites?

I'm highly sensitive to flea bites? What can I do to help it?!?

  • About a year ago my new kitten had fleas. It was an infestation and it was horrible! No one in my family were bothered by it. I mean, it was annoying and stuff and we had to get it under control, but I was so sensitive to the fleas that they were actually biting me. After months and months of fighting them we finally got it under control but I still have the scars. Now, we have a flea problem once more, (though, thus far, it has not gotten as out of control. We've managed it quite well). But, I have bites on my arms and legs. No one understands how painful they really are. They're not like mosquito bites. Yes they're incredibly itchy but they actually hurt. My parents don't get it and I'm in a lot of pain where the bites are. I take benedryl and stuff and I put ice packs where the bites are because I've read that helps and I've got some of the gel stuff that helps with itching but it really just doesn't help. Is there ANYTHING else I can do?!
