Why does my outer ear hurt after wearing headphones?

Muffled hearing in one ear after wearing headphones?

  • I wear headphones that go over my ear and after buying a new pair, my right ear has began to sound a little muffled. It feels like there is pressure or something in my ear but this feeling goes away when im not wearing my headphones. This feeling happens even when im not listening to music. Anyone know whats up?

  • Answer:

Put your hand over your ear entirely then press in gently. Feel that pressure? That's what your headphones are doing, The seal is forcing air into your ear with no escape route. and the reason that your hearing is muffled is because you have the volume up too loud! Some earphones have the volume for the right ear phone a little higher than the left. Idk why but it happens. If I were you I'd turn the volume down and or switch to ear buds. If your hearing doesn't get better after turning the volume down for a few days go to a doctor.
