So My Question is can I still be poisoned? Or is the chemicals still in my systems? YOU NEED TO UNDERSTAND THIS HAPPENED TWO MONTHS AGO Hi, I'm just your ordinary 13 year old girl. You probably are going to call me names or think I'm crazy for asking this but I just want to make sure I'm okay. I do realize I have trouble with getting over stupid things, but here's my question. About a month and a half ago (or almost 2 months) I had to go to the emergency room with my mom, her friend, and my sister. My sister sprained her ankle but we thought she broke it so we brought her. While we were waiting in the room (not the waiting room but a room where they looked at her ankle) and because we are kids and we were playing outside, our feet were filthy. My moms friend pointed out some sani-wipes that she thought was for skin but was not. I handed one to her and she washed my sister feet with it and my mom helped her. I took one and washed my my feet too but only for like a minute. I started to look on the back of the container and it said not a skin wipe, do get in eyes or something like that and harmful absorbed through skin. The back also said that if you get it on your clothes take off the CONTAMINATED clothes and wash them. If you get it on your skin wash for 15 - 20 minutes with soap and water (or it could've been 10 to 15) I got very scared after that and I felt as if i was gonna die and I also felt as if I was gonna go into shock. So I went to the bathroom and washed my hands and feet in there for like 3 minutes. Someone was waiting so I took a few paper towels with soap and water on them and washed my hands and feet continuosly for like 10 mintues straight. I gave one to my sister and told her that stuff needs to get washed off and she was a little worried but she washed her feet off for like maybe 2 to 3 minutes. I also had a cup FULL of little ice cubes so I put some Ice cubes on my feet and put a soaked paper towel on my feet until we left which was like and hour or so later. I also kept my hands in a small cup of icey cold water that was filled with ice. On the ride home i did the same but I put a whole bunch of ice on my feet. Our ride home was lie a 30 minute drive. Oh and i'm pretty sure my mom and her friend washed there hands really quick like once and when I told them that its harmful if absorbed through skin and all that stuff but they weren't worried at all but they also didnt want my sister to get scared. I washed my hands like two more times in the bathroom at the hospital while we waited. I washed my hands and feet again once we got back to my parents friends house. My sister rode home with my dad and I rode home with my mom. I still kept a wet towel on my feet for another 30 minute drive home. The whole time this happened I was shaking because I was so scared. I took a 15 minute shower the next morning because it was already 11 pm when we got home. I am still worried that me my sister and my mom and her freind will still get sick but we havent. I know I need to get over this but a horrible feeling of worry still sits inside of me. I sometimes get so scared that I cry. Please give me an answer :( The back of the container also said contact poison control center and something else for treatment advice but I don't know if you should do that if you get it in your eyes because it said if you get in your eyes it can cause some type of blindness. but anyways please help So if you read that you know I'm worried but here are the facts the name of the wipes were super sani-cloth® germicidal disposable wipes I washed the chemicals from the sani clothes off not like immediantly but maybe 1 - 3 minutes after I remember my hands and feet being dry after I keep all the water on them so I used so much water it made my hands pruney I researched and I would have had to have a whole cup of the chemicals poured on my skin to die ( Something online said LD50: 2000 mg/kg, Rat, Dermal but I did the math and figured out a cup because I'm smart :) I have had no strange symptoms since that happened. I might have use 1 or 2 wipes to try to get my foot clean and i don't remember but I think I mightve squeezed the sani cloth to get some of the dirt off. I know i scrubbed my skin a little hard to get he dirt off too. So please answer my question nicely and honestly

  I don't believe you are doing any harm to yourself, these wipes are in a hospital but if you could get them easily then they are probably not very harmful, some people go through a stage like that, I know I did, after going to the toilet I would turn the tap on, wash my hands and not turn it off incase I got the germs from the tap again. Im fine with it all now, and im 13 aswell. The chemicals on these disposable wipes are probably not very harmful at all, and if you get ANY cleaning products in your eyes you would definitely need to get it out, thats probably why it had warnings on the back. You and your family will be fine and I understand your obsessive fear. You wouldn't have tracked it onto your carpet or put it on any of your things, just wash the flip flops to be sure and you will be fine, don't worry about it. The Super Sani Clean things look like bacteria and infection cleaners, like if you have an infected cut you could clean it, which means it goes into your body, these are easily buyable and they are probably not harmful to the human body unless it goes in your eyes, think of it like soap. =) Hope you feel better.
