Why is the inside of my ear bleeding?

Does ear infection cause bleeding from inside ear?

• ive got an ear infection, well so the doctor says, ive been in really bad pain with an ear ache for a few days now, yesterday it started to bleed, bot much and not constant, its on and off. i went to the docs and he took a quick look and told me that ive got an ear infection. he also said the bleeding was normal so sent me on my way with antibiotics and some painkillers. im not convinced though, maybey im being paranoid but i didnt think it was normal to bleed with an infection. has anybody else suffered this? or does anybody know why it might be bleeding?

  My husband is going through the same thing. I freaked out when I seen blood on a tissue after he wiped his ear! I thought he may have ruptured his ear drum but I guess it's "normal". Just take your pills and you'll be okay.
